I was hooked from the start with 'Stronghold'. The dual narration works brilliantly, with Jillian Macie capturing Abbey's sass and vulnerability, while Todd McLaren delivers Tarak's gruff, lovable alien charm. The story moves at a great pace, balancing action, romance, and laugh-out-loud moments. I loved the dynamic between Abbey and Tarak, and the addition of a certain furry being added a delightful layer of humor. My only critique? I wish there was more of Tarak's backstory, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise fantastic listen.
