Summer On The River

As I immersed myself in Summer on the River, I found myself captivated by the rich tapestry of family relationships and the beautifully described river setting. Deidre Rubenstein's narration was a standout, with her ability to convey the emotions of each character with ease. However, the pacing at times felt a bit sluggish, making some of the more exposition-heavy chapters a bit difficult to get through. Despite this, the overall experience of the audiobook was satisfying, with the final resolution tying up the story in a bittersweet, yet satisfying way. A solid listen for fans of family-centered literary fiction.
