About This Audiobook

Laynie is one of those protagonists who refuses to be boring or predictable, and that’s what makes *Tease* so addictive. Blind since her teens, she’s traded pity parties for a sharp wit and a life she’s carved out on her own terms—online assistant by day, spontaneous road trips by night. When a job offer lands her in a small coastal town, she’s ready to prove her independence is more than just a personality trait. But small towns have secrets, and Laynie’s knack for uncovering them leads her straight into a mystery that’s as much about human nature as it is about solving a crime. Glenn crafts a story that’s equal parts tender and tense, with a heroine who’s equal parts resilient and reckless, making every chapter feel like a leap of faith worth taking.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I wasn’t prepared for how much *Tease* would pull me in—not just because of Laynie’s sharp humor or the way she navigates a world that often overlooks her, but because the story itself is a masterclass in balancing light and dark. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell split narration duties, with Arden handling Laynie’s sarcastic, no-nonsense inner monologue with a dry precision that feels like being privy to a confessional, while Mitchell’s softer, more measured tone grounds the chaos when things get tense. Together, they make the audiobook feel like eavesdropping on a friend’s most chaotic chapter of life. That said, the pacing drags slightly in the middle act—which is problematic given how quickly Laynie’s life unravels—though the payoff in the final act makes up for it. My biggest critique? The romance subplot wraps up a little too neatly, leaving me craving the gritty realism the rest of the story promised. Still, *Tease* left me thinking about Laynie long after the credits rolled.
