Her performance is the audiobook’s secret weapon: she nails the balance between sarcasm and vulnerability, making the protagonist feel like your funniest, most self-aware friend. Tyler Hyrchuk, meanwhile, takes what could’ve been a broody cliché (the emotionally closed-off guy) and gives him a quiet depth; you *hear* the hesitation in his voice when he’s fighting his attraction, and it’s maddening in the best way.
