I was thoroughly engrossed in The Border from start to finish, thanks in large part to Aidan Kelly's superb narration. His steady pace and clear enunciation made even the most complex historical events easy to follow, and his neutral tone allowed the story to speak for itself. One of the standout elements of this audiobook is its ability to convey the nuances of the border region's history without resorting to sensationalism or oversimplification. However, I did find that the narration could have benefited from a bit more emotional depth in certain sections - some of the more poignant moments felt slightly flat. Additionally, the production could have included more contextual sound design to enhance the listening experience.
