Having listened to The Constant Heart, I can confidently say that it's a true gem in the world of audiobooks. Annie Aldington's narration adds a layer of warmth and authenticity to the story, making it hard to tear yourself away from the world of the Thames bargemen. Her ability to convey the emotions of each character, especially the strong and resilient Rosina, is simply outstanding. The pacing is spot-on, keeping listeners engaged without ever feeling rushed or dragged out. The only critique I have is that the audiobook could have delved a bit deeper into the historical context surrounding the characters' lives, but this does not detract from the overall experience. If you're a fan of gripping sagas that tug at the heartstrings, The Constant Heart is an absolute must-listen.
