I recently had the pleasure of listening to The Emperor's New Clothes and Other Fairy Tales, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional narrations of Anne-Marie Duff, Penelope Wilton, and Sir Derek Jacobi. Their performances breathed new life into these beloved stories, and I found myself completely drawn in by their captivating voices. My favorite story in the collection was The Little Mermaid, as Duff's enchanting portrayal of the mermaid's longing for love and acceptance made my heart ache for her character. However, I did feel that the production could have been slightly more immersive, with some background music or sound effects to enhance the storytelling experience. Nevertheless, this is a must-listen for fans of fairy tales and classic literature.
