AudioBook Atlas

I was drawn into the world of Henry James' ghost stories like never before, thanks to the exceptional narration in this audiobook. Each narrator brought their own interpretation to the tales, making them feel fresh and contemporary. Antonia Beamish's calm and collected delivery was the perfect foil to the creeping dread in 'The Jolly Corner', while Jonathan Epstein's ability to convey the subtle shifts in power dynamics in 'The Altar of the Dead' was truly masterful. The pacing is excellent, with each story given the time it deserves to build tension and unease. However, I did find the transition between narrators a bit jarring at times, and some stories felt a tad too slow. But these are minor quibbles in what is otherwise a remarkable audiobook experience.
