Kelsey Navarro’s snarky, no-nonsense Harper is a standout, capturing that razor-sharp wit without ever sounding like she’s trying too hard. Meanwhile, Tim Paige’s Cade is all effortless swagger and lazy charm, but it’s the moments when his voice cracks under pressure—or when he’s forced to confront his own privilege—that remind you he’s more than just a pretty face. The dual narration keeps the story dynamic, though I wish the production balanced their volumes a touch better; at times, Harper’s quieter introspection nearly disappears beneath Cade’s booming confidence. The pacing stumbles in the middle when the romance drags slightly under the weight of academic bureaucracy, but the final act delivers a knockout finish that had me fist-pumping on my commute. If you’re here for slow-burn tension with a side of physical chemistry, this audiobook’s got the plays.
