As someone who's always enjoyed a good horror story, I was excited to dive into The Hellbound Heart. From the very beginning, Jeffrey Kafer's narration drew me in, with his deep and haunting voice perfectly matching the tone of Barker's twisted tale. Kafer's portrayal of the characters, especially the enigmatic Frank Cotton, was spot-on, bringing their fears and desires to life in a way that made it impossible to look away. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the pacing. Barker's story is a slow burn, building tension and dread with each passing chapter.
