The Highlander’s Choice

As someone who adores historical romances with a touch of adventure, The Highlander's Choice has quickly become one of my favorite audiobooks. Sienna Frances' brilliant narration is a significant reason for this. She effortlessly captures the essence of each character, from the fiery and passionate Lady Sybil to the stoic and brooding Alistair. Her portrayal of their undeniable chemistry is simply electric. The story's pacing is perfect, with enough action and suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat while still allowing the romance to take center stage. I particularly enjoyed the way Hutton explored the themes of prejudice and the courage it takes to break free from societal expectations. My only critique would be the occasional lack of distinction between some of the Scottish accents, which occasionally blurred together. However, this did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the audiobook.
