The Lumumba Plot

As someone who typically steers clear of history books, I found 'The Lumumba Plot' to be an exhilarating exception. Stuart A. Reid's narrative is so taut and suspenseful, it feels like a page-turner rather than a historical account. Michael Boatman's narration is nothing short of exceptional. He navigates the complex web of characters and their motivations with ease, his voice shifting seamlessly between accents and tones. The only critique I have is that the sheer volume of names and political figures can be overwhelming at times, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. The pacing is perfect, with Reid's detailed research and Boatman's engaging narration creating a compelling narrative that kept me hooked until the very end.
