His voice is energetic and youthful enough to draw in the core listeners, but also carries enough gravitas to handle the more tense moments. He really nails Amy's determined edge and Dan's sometimes-too-logical-but-still-heroic approach. The villains get suitably menacing tones, making the danger feel palpable. The pacing is excellent; Goebel writes for quick consumption, and Pittu delivers it without sounding rushed or disinterested. The audiobook format really suits this kind of fast-paced adventure. I did find the constant, almost conspiratorial, mention of 'the bigger picture' slightly wearing, and some of the supporting characters felt a bit two-dimensional compared to the central duo, but that's really minor.
