As an audiobook editor, I went into 'The Paragon' with a healthy dose of skepticism - after all, can a collection of short stories truly pack the same punch as a full-length novel? The answer, in this case, is a resounding yes. Wong's writing is economical yet effective, and Morgan's narration brings a level of nuance and expression that elevates the listening experience to new heights. My only criticism is that a few of the stories feel somewhat disconnected from the rest of the collection - a minor quibble, to be sure, but one that kept me from fully surrendering to the narrative flow.
