The Port Chicago 50

I was thoroughly engaged by 'The Port Chicago 50', thanks in large part to Dominic Hoffman's narration, which brought a sense of urgency to the story. Sheinkin's writing is, as always, meticulous and engaging, and the production quality is top-notch. My one minor quibble is that some of the supporting characters feel a bit one-dimensional, but this doesn't detract from the overall impact of the narrative. A more significant critique is that the audiobook sometimes glosses over the technical aspects of the disaster, which could have added another layer of depth to the story. Nonetheless, this is a vital and thought-provoking listen that sheds light on a crucial moment in American history.
