Mia Hutchinson-Shaw's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. She imbues each character with a unique personality, making it easy to distinguish between Ava, her friends, and even the villainous Headmistress. The pacing is spot on, keeping the story moving at a brisk pace without feeling rushed. I particularly enjoyed the way Taylor explores the complexities of friendship, showing that even the most unlikely of allies can have a place in your coven. If I have one critique, it's that the resolution felt a tad too neat, but it's a small price to pay for an otherwise enchanting listen.
