As someone who thoroughly enjoys historical fiction and magical stories, I was thrilled to dive into The Tarnished Garden. Laura Knight Keating's captivating narration drew me in from the very beginning, and her ability to convey the personalities and emotions of the characters made me feel as though I was right there alongside Maeve and Izzy. The story's pacing kept me on the edge of my seat, with just the right balance of action, humor, and heartfelt moments. While I appreciated the author's exploration of magic and its consequences, I found the ending to be a bit rushed and wished for a more satisfying resolution. Nonetheless, The Tarnished Garden is a delightful listen that I highly recommend to fans of the series and those looking for a unique blend of magic and historical fiction.
