However, at times, the pacing can feel uneven, bogged down by overly descriptive passages that might slow down the momentum of the narrative. Despite this, the audiobook remains a compelling listen for anyone drawn to bleak, character-driven stories. The haunting presence of Tatiana, the child who claims she knows something terrible, is particularly affecting and left me with a lasting impression.
