Editor's Review ★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As I listened to The Werewolf of Paris, I found myself drawn into the world Endore created – a world of dark alleys, seedy taverns, and the ever-present threat of the werewolf. Jean Brassard's narration was a key part of this experience, bringing a sense of depth and emotion to the characters that made it easy to become invested in their stories. However, at times I felt that the pacing could have been more tightly controlled – there were moments where the narrative seemed to drag, and I found myself wishing for a bit more momentum. Still, these minor quibbles aside, The Werewolf of Paris is a gripping and unsettling listen that's sure to appeal to fans of horror and historical fiction alike. Brassard's performance would have benefited from a bit more variation in tone and pitch, particularly when it came to the more emotional scenes. At times, his delivery felt a bit too flat, which made it difficult to fully connect with the characters on an emotional level. Overall, however, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent production.
