These Women

From the first chapter, I was hooked by the dual narration of Bahni Turpin and Frankie Corzo. Their voices are as distinct as the women they portray, allowing each character to shine in their own right. Pochoda's writing is visceral and unapologetic, painting a vivid picture of South Central L.A. that's as complex as it is compelling. The pacing is steady, building tension like a slow burn, and the production is minimalistic, allowing the narration and story to take center stage. My only critique is that some of the plot threads feel a bit too neat in their resolution, but it's a small price to pay for such a rich and engaging listen.
