About This Audiobook

Hannah Bonam-Young’s *Time Will Tell* is a time-traveling rom-com with the cozy charm of a well-worn sweater—comfortable, inviting, and impossible to resist. When Toronto teacher Claire stumbles upon a time capsule that whisks her back to 1990s England, she’s not just chasing a relic; she’s chasing a ghost of first love. The premise feels fresh because Bonam-Young grounds it in the messy, magnetic pull of nostalgia, where every detail—the scratchy cassette tapes, the neon windbreakers—feels like a love letter to the decade. The audiobook shines with Victoria Connolly and Maxim Reston’s lively narration, their chemistry crackling between Claire’s determined modern voice and the warm, witty tones of her past self. It’s a book that proves even the clumsiest time jumps can lead you right where you’re meant to be.

AudioBook Atlas

I went into *Time Will Tell* expecting a light, fluffy romance, but Bonam-Young delivers a story that’s as thoughtful as it is fun. The time-jump premise could’ve felt gimmicky, but the execution is seamless—Claire’s journey feels earned, not forced, with just enough emotional punch to keep the laughs from feeling frivolous. Connolly and Reston are a dream team; their voices are distinct and engaging, though I wished Reston’s narration of the British characters had a touch more authenticity (some of the dialogue slipped into caricature). The pacing is snappy, clocking in under two hours, which works for a rom-com but means some character development gets short shrift. Still, the chemistry between the leads—especially in their past-life scenes—is electric, and the ending is so satisfying it’ll have you hitting replay. If you crave romance that’s equal parts heart and humor without a trace of smut, this is your next commute companion.
