I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d love a book where the alpha wolf is the one who needs saving—both literally and emotionally. Salvatore Rossi is a walking contradiction: a ruthless corporate titan who’s emotionally constipated, rendered speechless (and often panting) by Leo’s sheer presence. Charlie David’s narration sells this dynamic perfectly, his voice shifting from icy detachment to breathless awe with ease. The real magic, though, is in Leo’s character—he’s not just a love interest, he’s a storm front of chaos and care, and every growled confrontation or tender moment between the two feels earned. That said, the book stumbles slightly in its third act when the supernatural threats start piling up a bit too neatly. The resolution, while satisfying, wraps up a little too tidily for my taste, as if the author wanted to tie everything up with a bow rather than let the raw edges linger. Still, the audiobook’s production is immaculate, with crystal-clear soundscapes that make the wolf-shifter world feel tangible. If you crave romance where the tension is as thick as fur under your fingertips and the power struggles are as heated as a mating season, this one’s a must-listen.
