Eleanor Matsuura’s voice perfectly captures the tension and unease in Tokyo Express. Her performance adds depth to each character's narrative, enhancing the mystery as much as Matsumoto's meticulous storytelling does. The pacing is impeccable—slow enough to savor the rich details but fast enough to keep you on edge until the shocking conclusion. However, a few sections could have benefited from clearer transitions, which might detract slightly from the overall flow. Nonetheless, this audiobook remains an engaging and intellectually stimulating listen that showcases the best of literary fiction.
