Viking Tales

As an editor, I was struck by the sheer scale and ambition of this audiobook – and the way it delivers on that promise, time and again. There's something about the way Hall's characters move through the narrative, driven by a hunger for adventure and a deep sense of belonging, that feels genuinely compelling. And yet, for all the epic scope, this remains a deeply intimate story, one that invites the listener to reflect on the choices we make, and the people we become, along the way. My only quibble is with the ending, which feels slightly abrupt – but even that is a minor complaint in a production that's otherwise a triumph.
