Werewolf

I devoured 'Werewolf' in a single sitting, and I'm still feeling the teeth marks. Haberkorn's narration is a tour de force, his voice morphing from smooth and inviting to guttural and terrifying in the blink of an eye. The story itself is a masterclass in economy, packing more scares into its four-and-a-half-hour runtime than some books do in twice the time. The pacing is relentless, each chapter a step further into the wolf's den, with Warren's prose lean and mean, wasting no words on unnecessary description. My only critique? I wish it were longer. But then again, I suppose that's the point - to leave you hungry for more, like a wolf scenting blood. If you're looking for a quick, thrilling horror fix, look no further. Just don't listen alone in the dark.
