I appreciated Hsieh's rigorous examination of West Point's role in shaping the Civil War's military strategies. Hoye's narration is generally excellent, although some of the more complex sentences could benefit from a slightly slower pace. The production quality is top-notch, with clear audio and seamless transitions. One area for improvement is the audiobook's somewhat dry introduction, which takes a while to gain momentum. However, once Hsieh dives into his analysis, the narrative becomes engaging and insightful. Overall, 'West Pointers and the Civil War' is a valuable addition to the Civil War historical canon, and Hoye's narration does it justice.
