I devoured this 19-hour audiobook in a few sittings, drawn in by the sharp banter and intriguing world-building. Callie Dalton's Gracie is a force to be reckoned with, and Connor Crais's grumpy superbeing is both hilarious and endearing. The pacing is well-balanced, with a good mix of action, humor, and romance. One area where the story falters is in its somewhat predictable plot twists, and some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped.
