When the Dead Have It Easy

I was hooked from the get-go. Brunnemer's world-building is fantastic, with a New Orleans setting that's as atmospheric as it is spooky. The narration is top-notch, with Hart's Lexie being equal parts snarky and vulnerable, and Hobbs' Miles oozing charm and danger. The pacing is spot-on, balancing suspenseful moments with witty banter and steamy encounters. My only critique? I wish we'd gotten more of Lexie's necromantic abilities in action. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent listen. If you're craving a paranormal romance that's equal parts thrilling and swoon-worthy, this is your jam.
