Her narration is a delight, her voice warm and inviting, perfectly suited to the introspective nature of the story. She masterfully captures the nuances of each character, from the fiery, ambitious Whistler to the quiet, enigmatic Daphne. The pacing is steady, allowing the story to unfold like a slow dance, with moments of tension and release that keep the listener engaged. My only critique is that at times, the story can feel a bit too introspective, verging on melodramatic, but Patchett's prose and narration always pull it back from the brink. This is a book that lingers in the mind like a hauntingly beautiful painting.
