Jack Calihan doesn't just narrate *Wolflord*—he embodies it. His voice is a dark whisky, smooth enough to swallow in one gulp but strong enough to leave you slightly unsettled. He nails the Gaelic cadence in Ruari's dialogue, grounding the supernatural horror in something uncomfortably real. The pacing is relentless; the audiobook doesn’t waste time on preamble, diving straight into Arielle’s stowaway arrival and Ruari’s immediate, almost violent claim over her. Calihan’s delivery of Ruari’s possessive lines is especially chilling—you can hear the wolf beneath the words, low and rumbling like thunder before a storm. My one critique? The female characters’ voices occasionally feel too soft, making Arielle’s defiance harder to buy into when the men around her roar. But that’s a minor quibble in an otherwise electrifying listen. The production is crisp, with no distracting background noise, and the runtime flies by thanks to Calihan’s magnetic performance. If you want gothic horror with bite—and I mean literal and figurative—this is it.
