As someone who's always been intrigued by ancient civilizations, I found '101 Amazing Facts About Ancient Rome' to be an absolute gem. John Harnish's narration is nothing short of excellent. He paces each fact perfectly, allowing just enough time for the information to sink in before moving on to the next tidbit. His enthusiasm is infectious, making even the most obscure Roman tidbits sound exciting. I particularly appreciated how he brought humor to some of the more absurd facts, like the one about the emperor who made his horse a senator. However, I did find a couple of the jokes to be a bit too modern for the ancient setting, which slightly jarred me out of the historical context.
