Listening to 1971, narrated by Dev J Haldar, felt like embarking on a gripping adventure. Haldar's voice, with its rich timbre and clear enunciation, kept me hooked throughout the 11-hour journey. His ability to convey the intensity of battle and the emotional toll on the soldiers made me feel as though I were right there alongside the Gorkha battalion. Haldar's narration, combined with the well-researched account of the 1971 war, provided a balanced mix of tactical maneuvers and human experiences. However, I found the pacing a bit slow at times, making certain sections less engaging than others. Despite this minor critique, 1971 remains a compelling listen for anyone interested in military history and the incredible story of a battalion that defied odds.
