I was immediately drawn into 1981's captivating premise, and Peter J. Matthews' narration only enhanced the experience. His ability to convey Nick's emotions, from excitement to heartache, made me feel like I was right there with him. The pacing is spot-on, balancing Nick's time-traveling escapades with the slower, more introspective moments. My only critique is that some secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen.
