A Dog in a Doublet

I was immediately drawn into 'A Dog in a Doublet' by Philip Battley's captivating narration. His ability to differentiate characters with distinct voices and accents is commendable, making each character feel unique and well-defined. The pacing is spot-on, never lingering too long on descriptive passages or rushing through crucial plot points. My only minor critique is that some of the secondary characters' voices could have been more distinct, as they sometimes blurred together. However, this is a small flaw in an otherwise excellent production. Leech's storytelling is a breath of fresh air, filled with witty banter and genuine emotion. I found myself laughing out loud one moment and reaching for the tissues the next. If you're a fan of historical romance with a dash of humor and a hearty serving of emotion, this audiobook is a must-listen.
