A Father’s Objection

As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Naeem's world, feeling every ounce of his pain and joy. Jones and Smolders' narration is exceptional, with Jones' warm, expressive voice bringing a depth of emotion to Naeem's character, and Smolders' smooth, resonant tones perfectly capturing the strength and vulnerability of Naeem's long-lost love. The pacing is excellent, with the story unfolding at a steady clip that keeps you engaged without feeling rushed. My only critique is that some secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. 'A Father’s Objection' is a must-listen for fans of romance, African American literature, and anyone who enjoys a story that will stay with them long after the final credits roll.
