I loved diving into A Room with a View, and narrator Jen Zhao was the perfect guide. She brings a playful, innocent energy to the story that's impossible to resist. Ho's writing is clever and engaging, but what really sets this audiobook apart is its ability to tackle big themes in a way that's both accessible and authentic. That said, I did find the pacing to be a bit uneven in places - at times, the story feels a bit rushed, and I would have loved to see a bit more development of some of the supporting characters. Despite this, the real magic of A Room with a View lies in its ability to capture the messy, wonderful chaos of childhood. Ho nails the emotions and struggles that come with growing up, and Zhao's narration brings it all to life in a way that's both charming and relatable.
