As a fan of John Scalzi's work, I was eager to dive into 'A Very Scalzi Christmas', and I wasn't disappointed. The ensemble cast brings a level of energy and enthusiasm to the stories that's infectious, and Scalzi's writing is as witty and engaging as ever. One of my favorite stories, 'The Gift of the Magi', offers a clever twist on the classic tale, with Scalzi's signature humor and heart shining through. However, a few of the stories feel a bit disconnected from the rest of the collection, which can make it feel a bit disjointed at times. Additionally, some listeners may find the humor a bit too dry or sarcastic, so it's worth noting that this audiobook is definitely geared towards fans of Scalzi's unique brand of humor.
