As I listened to the audiobook version of After, I found myself engrossed in the post-apocalyptic world that author Scott Nicholson has crafted. Narrator Kevin Clay's performance was top-notch, with a steady pace and clear diction that kept me engaged throughout the story. The blend of science fiction and horror elements provided a fresh take on the genre, and I found myself questioning the characters' motivations and the underlying cause of their new abilities. One critique I would offer is that the climax felt somewhat rushed, and I would have liked to see more development in the final stages of the story.
