As an avid fan of epic fantasy, I was blown away by the sheer scope and ambition of Age of Swords. Sullivan's writing is as engaging as ever, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of what makes his characters tick. However, at times the narrative feels a tad overwhelmed by the sheer number of plot threads and world-building revelations. Still, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise superb audiobook, and one that's more than made up for by Reynolds' masterful narration. Sullivan doesn't shy away from presenting his characters with tough choices and exploring the consequences of their actions.
