By *Dragon Gods*, the stakes skyrocket, and the lore deepens—though I’ll warn you, the middle act drags slightly with political maneuvering that could’ve been tighter. Rebekah Nemethy’s narration is *chef’s kiss*. She nails the dry humor of the dragon dialogues (imagine a cross between a snarky teenager and a centuries-old deity) and gives even minor characters distinct voices. My only gripe? Her male voices occasionally veer into caricature, especially for the gruffer characters.
