Amber to Ashes

I was drawn into Amber's world from the very first chapter, thanks in no small part to Arden Hammersmith's incredible narration. She masterfully switches between characters, each with their own distinct voice and emotional depth. The story itself is a whirlwind of passion, betrayal, and self-discovery, with a pacing that keeps you on the edge of your seat. McHugh's writing is bold and unapologetic, tackling tough subjects with a raw honesty that's both refreshing and challenging. My only critique is that at times, the story can feel a bit too heavy, with the darkness threatening to overwhelm the light. But if you're looking for a romance that's as gritty as it is gripping, Amber to Ashes is an unforgettable listen.
