As someone who has always been fascinated by the stories of women during World War II, I was excited to dive into An American Wife in Paris. Madeline Pell's narration is exceptional, with her ability to convey the emotional turmoil and fear experienced by the characters. I particularly enjoyed the way she portrayed the protagonist's struggle between her love for her husband and her duty to the resistance. The pacing of the audiobook is well-executed, with enough tension and suspense to keep me hooked until the very end. However, I did find some of the technical aspects, such as the background sounds and music, to be a bit jarring at times. Overall, An American Wife in Paris is a captivating listen that provides a unique perspective on the war effort, and I would highly recommend it to fans of historical fiction and audiobooks.
