I was hooked from the get-go. Savio's world-building is impeccable, painting a vivid picture of ancient civilization that feels both alien and familiar. The pacing is spot-on, balancing action, intrigue, and character development. Wheaton's narration is a major draw, his enthusiasm for the story infectious. He masterfully differentiates characters, from the quick-witted Alex to the stoic Elam. However, some of the historical explanations can feel a tad info-dumpy, and a few plot twists are telegraphed a bit too early.
