I was hooked from the very first chapter. The dual narration works brilliantly, with Ava Erickson's Yulia being both vulnerable and strong, and Teddy Hamilton's Nikolai exuding a perfect mix of danger and tenderness. The pacing is spot on, keeping the tension high and the romance sizzling. The story is gritty and intense, with Zaires not shying away from the dark realities of Yulia's captivity. Yet, it's also a beautiful love story that explores the power dynamics between two people drawn to each other despite the circumstances.
