I was immediately drawn into the world of Orthron, with its intricate power dynamics and high-stakes political games. The story is told through multiple perspectives, each voice distinct and compelling, thanks in no small part to Virtual Voice's exceptional narration. The pacing is spot-on, balancing intense action sequences with quieter, more introspective moments. The love story at the heart of Ash Fallen is both passionate and believable, with a slow burn that's incredibly satisfying. My only critique is that I wish we'd spent a bit more time exploring the unique culture and history of Orthron. But that's a small complaint in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. If you're a fan of complex, character-driven stories that blend romance, fantasy, and science fiction, Ash Fallen is a must-listen.
