The 52-minute runtime forces the plot to move at a clip, and I appreciated that there’s no meandering subplot or love-triangle nonsense. The core dynamic—scientist vs. subject, with attraction simmering beneath the power struggle—is compelling enough to carry it. That said, the Virtual Voice narration is a *major* stumbling block. While its monotone oddly fits Alison’s detached scientist persona, it butchers the vampire’s lines, which should drip with menace and dark charm. Instead, they land like a Siri reading a grocery list. The production also suffers from a lack of atmospheric sound design; even subtle background noise (a humming lab, distant screams) could’ve elevated the tension. My other critique?
