As an editor, I adored diving into the warm, sun-kissed world of Beachside Books. Emma Lysy's narration is a standout – her engaging voice perfectly captures the light-hearted, humorous tone of the series. I particularly appreciated her knack for bringing the supporting characters to life, each one distinct and memorable. In terms of the story, I found myself invested in Paige's journey from the start. Paula Lester's writing is engaging, and the twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. If I have a critique, it's that the pacing could have benefited from a slightly more deliberate build-up in the second book – at times, the mystery felt a tad rushed. That being said, the series' overall charm and Lester's clever plotting more than make up for it.
