Before the Dawn

I devoured Before the Dawn in a single, mesmerizing sitting - a testament to the author's skillful plotting and Meire's electrifying narration. The pacing is relentless, with Butler ratcheting up the tension through a series of cleverly deployed twists and red herrings. My only quibble is that some of the supporting characters feel a tad underdeveloped, and a couple of the plot threads feel slightly contrived. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise superb production. Meire's performance is outstanding, bringing a sense of authenticity to the narrative that makes the listener feel like they're right there with the detective, piecing together the puzzle.
