The pacing is masterfully calibrated; the first half builds a claustrophobic tension that never lets up, while the second half accelerates into a frantic chase, keeping my heart rate steady throughout the 11‑hour run. The production is polished, with just enough background ambience to evoke the echoing hallways of the kindergarten without drowning out the dialogue. A minor gripe: a few moments of the tactical briefing scene suffer from a slightly over‑compressed sound mix, making the background noise a tad muddy. Still, the audiobook’s structure – a series of short, punchy chapters – makes it easy to binge, and the occasional cliff‑hanger at the end of each segment pushes you forward.
