About This Audiobook

Betrayal of Faith is a gripping legal thriller that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. Mark M. Bello drops us into the grimy underbelly of Detroit, where disgraced lawyer Zachary Blake is drowning his sorrows in cheap booze and even cheaper strip clubs. But when a high-stakes case lands in his lap, Blake's dormant fire is reignited. Bello's prose is sharp and snappy, with twists that'll keep you guessing. Lee Alan's narration is a standout, capturing Blake's world-weariness and bringing the city's seedier side to life. This isn't your typical cozy courtroom drama; it's a raw, visceral ride that'll have you on the edge of your seat.

AudioBook Atlas

I was hooked from the get-go. Lee Alan's narration is a real treat, his gruff voice perfectly suited to Zachary Blake's jaded, seen-it-all persona. He handles the rapid-fire dialogue and legal jargon with ease, making complex courtroom scenes engaging rather than confusing. The pacing is breakneck, with Bello masterfully doling out just enough information to keep you turning the pages. The story's Detroit setting is almost a character itself, and Bello doesn't shy away from the city's grit and corruption. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could use more development, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise riveting listen. If you're a fan of gritty thrillers and don't mind a bit of language, Betrayal of Faith is a must-listen.
